Dr. Karen Castle is an eclectic health care practitioner. Her basis of experience and knowledge stems from her double Master’s in Transpersonal Psychology and Chinese Medicine. Karen began her career in holistic health care in 1997 opening her practice as a licensed massage therapist. In 2000, she enrolled in the Florida College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and worked closely with several PhD doctors from China resulting in a Masters in Chinese Medicine.
Karen has a unique aspect to her holistic practice because of her experience in Holotropic Breathwork. She certified in Grof’s Transpersonal Training, a training intensive combining experiential sessions with didactic modules. This training led her to deepen her understanding of the spiritual or transpersonal realms through her studies in Transpersonal Psychology.
Karen lives in Redington Shores, on the gulf coast of Florida and has an office in two locations. She also offers workshops on a variety of subjects pertaining to health and wellness and regularly hosts the Holotropic Breathwork workshop. Karen is dedicated to this particular work because it has been monumental in her self-growth and development and wants to support any one who is willing to travel into the inner realms of the psyche. Karen has furthered her inner growth through understanding and training in the Riso-Hudson Enneagram Personality system.
Karen has explored many different modalities and techniques including those for pain and health. She believes emotions are the catalyst for any illness or blocked energy in the body. Through awareness of the mind, body and spirit a person can take charge of their health and quality of life. Karen has found the tools that work for her and they are included in the content of her website. She welcomes all to explore and benefit from any of these methods. However, Karen believes that it is important for an individual to find the methodology that best works for them.
"I am committed to providing you with the highest quality care paying close attention to your individual needs. This may include treatment for physical conditions as well as programs for mental and spiritual health. Whatever the need, I am here to help your healing process."
Karen is happily married to Peter Thibado. She appreciates and enjoys the closeness and support of her 19 yr. old son and immediate family. Her future goals include writing, traveling and hosting educational and experiential workshops.
Everyday Karen actively pursues all aspects of wellness to include yoga/pilates, martial arts, nutrition, meditation and mental health.
